Rolex ‘Picket’ Rooster earned his nickname by perching upon the picket fence every morning, precisely at dawn, to announce the beginning of each day. This is not as easy as it sounds because a picket fence has lots of pointy boards along the top (which you would know if you ever tried to sit on one). Picket stands 16 inches tall and the puppeteer’s hand goes in through the bottom (just behind the legs) and up into the head to work the beak.
